You know your a "MOM" when..

So "You know your a Mom" when you are at the mall play area and you notice and handful of 12 to 13 yr old boys on the 2nd floor spitting and sucking back up their loogies over the play area (i.e. peoples heads) and you take it upon yourself to yell at those boys from the 1st floor screaming, "Boys!!!! That is disguisting!!! you stop that right NOW!!! Back up and stop it!!!" one replies, "it wasn't me!" and I say, "I don't care who it is...it's disguisting and you need to stop!"

I don't think I have ever made someone else's child scared of me to the point that they ran away, but I did yesterday. And I was just kinda wondering...who was that??? It is so out of character for me to call something out, but especially someone else's child. I figure, I would be glad if someone called out Braydon when he is a teenager acting dumb and I am not around...Anyway, I just thought it was too funny not to share...

Is this what I have to look forward to in 12 years with boys?? Better not!!!

Boys Day Out!

Last week Rowdy took off on Tuesday and took Braydon golfing with his friend and his little girl! I was so impressed that Rowdy actually took pictures...He did not get to play any golf, but I think he had the most fun riding in the cart with his little man! Rowdy had a little taste of what it might feel like to be a "stay at home Dad." Although, Braydon made it extra appealing as they spent the entire morning enjoying the 80 degree weather on the golf course and he then took a 3 hour nap that he was woken up from...Yeah, it's like that every day! Oh, except it's 100+ and B's beating on the door to go play and it's often that he take 1 hr naps for Mom...I still love every minute I get to spend with this little guy long naps or not! I was so happy that the boys had a great day together-I am so blessed to have 2 of the sweetest boys! Love you both!

Where did it all go??

I have been waiting for a week for Braydon's hair lady to come back in town so we could head to snip it's and get a cut. He was getting a little shaggy and i wanted him trimmed up before school. Anyway, Braydon has tuff hair to cut, it's thick and straight as a board and he has tons of it...so I wanted to use the same lady who cut it last time. She did a good job last time and that's more than I can say about any of his previous cuts.. So I tell her, "I want you to do just like you did last time, barely trim around his eyes and ears...make it look like he has barely had a trim"....I know it sounds like I am dramatic, but they go crazy cutting sometimes...so I always tell them less is more with his hair. She heard the exact opposite and in her 1st clip she butchered my babies cute cut. I kept say your cutting too much, this is way too short, don't cut anymore!! I wanted to rip the scissors out of her hands!! Thankfully, she finished up and I did not have to...the hair cut nightmare was over. 100% dissatisfied we paid and walked out and wondered where did all his hair go!!!...So the good news is hair grows pretty fast and he should be looking more like "B" in a month or so...I hope! Reluctantly, I post a few pics of Braydon's chili bowl cut...Awesome! We might go hat shopping tomorrow...just kidding :)

Just for Gigi!

So Gigi is missing her Tuesdays with Braydon b/c she went back to school this week. So just for you Gigi here are some pics of what your favorite (only) Grandson has been up to! We started out at the park...it was too HOT so we called Hudson and Stacie and met for open play time at Gymboree! Then we practiced laying down on B's new monkey nap mat (am I over doing the monkey theme?? no? good! B/c he has a monkey lunch box too!) He is going to Friends in Christ Mother's Day Out in September on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can't believe he is already off to preschool! I hope he loves it and adjusts well-we shall see! Then we went up to the playroom to read some books...his favorite "Thank You Prayer" book...it's so sweet when we say "Amen" he puts his hands together like we do and tries to say "Amen." What an angel!!

Monday with the Monkey!

So I have been terrible at taking my camera places lately, I just can't remember much these days! Pump it Up!!

Today we went to Pump it Up with Braydon's cousin Hayley and Gigi, Stacie and Hudson! We are so excited to have found this new play place that is minutes from the house and free for babes under 2! How fun! B may be a little small for some of the bounce houses, but he definitely does not think so. He loves going down the slide and bouncing in the bounce house and let's not forget the highlight of the trip...the little tykes car!
