Poor B! Why do weird things always happen on the weekends?

He really hasn't had the paci that much..

I can't deprive my sick guy ;(

and ended pretty teary...

Not what I thought I would use my new camera for, but

I wanted to make sure Dr G knew exactly how his rash is changing..

This Sunday a.m. Braydon woke up with a little bit of a rash near his ears..I thought he slept really hard and it would fade after a few minutes. I was wrong.  Poor little guy looked terrible about an hour later...his face was swollen, his nose, eyes and cheeks were puffy and he had these terrible red marks all over his body.  So after two trips to urgent care we "think" he may be having a  reaction or maybe a virus of some sort....I can't wait to get our little guy to Dr G tomorrow so we can find out what is going on.  For now the Children's Benadryl is doing the trick, but both of our hearts break when we watch our little B itchy and annoyed with this rash...Is it always after hours or on the weekends that something weird comes up with your baby?? Or is it just us??  We count our blessings for a healthy boy...nothing worse than a sick baby.

Braydon and Drew have become such good little buddies! It's fun watching these two laugh at each other.  This was today at Gymboree!

Since Braydon will be turning 2 yrs old in about two months, we decided to move him over to a big boy room and get the nursery ready for baby #2.  Everything is almost ready...I need a few more accessories/wall decor, a side rail for his big boy bed, and of course I can't live without my video monitor to watch my sweets sleep!!!  So maybe next week we will let the little man try out his new room for the first time.  We will let him choose where he wants to sleep for the next several months and hopefully by March he will be fully transitioned to the big bed...if not, no worries I like to have my newborns close by for at least 4 months :) So technically we have 6 months or so to get him ready!!  It feels like yesterday we were getting his nursery ready so it's hard to believe that he is moving on to a big boy room so soon...he's growing so fast!!!

Side Note:  Braydon is not the biggest talker thus far and has a very slim vocabulary to date, but the other day he asked for cheese and I said "Here it is" and he looks at me and said in a song like tone, "hed id is"  I about died...He has been saying it for days....so funny that he has 3 word sentence but won't repeat Cow...funny boy! :)

Today we woke up to a yard and park full of snow!  Before I woke up our little sleepy head...I made Braydon his first cup of hot chocolate.  So we watched cartoons and snuggled with our hot cocoa before we realized our snow was turning to rain and our Winter Wonderland was melting....We rushed out to play!  He had so much fun!!  I just wish Rowdy could have been here to roll around with him in it!  We hope it snows again soon!!!

Braydon's Uncle Rhett was married this weekend in Barton Creek.  Braydon was a ring bearer for the first time and did a great job running down the aisle!  He then danced the night away at the reception.  He literally danced from 7 to 11!!!  He was so wiped out that when I sat down to rest at the table he laid his little head down on the table!  What a great weekend!  Congrats Rhett and Lacy!!

Today I was able to slip away and visit my sweet friend Lisa and her new baby Ella Marie.  It was so fun to just sit and watch a beautiful new life sleep in my arms while hearing all about Lisa's delivery.  Lisa looked amazing and was getting around great!  Ella was just a beautiful sweet pea and did not make a peep while I was there!  Congrats Eric, Lisa and big sister Campbell...You have such a gorgeous new baby girl! Thanks for sharing her with me today.  I can't believe the roles will be reversed in about 16 weeks!
